This privacy policy provides detailed information about the processing of personal data for visitors and guests of Haus Schäffer Apartments and the website hausschaffer.at.

2. Data processing for bookings

Personal data provided during booking is used solely for the following purposes:

  • Name: for addressing the guest in emails and identifying bookings; the name is shared with the cleaning service solely for booking identification.

  • Email address: for sending automatic confirmation emails and ongoing communication.

  • Phone number: as a secondary contact option; we will only call in emergencies.

  • Notes: please do not enter any personal data here.

We do not use the above data for purposes other than those described here and do not share it with third parties, except providing the name to the cleaning service.

3. Data for Tourist Tax

During the stay, we request additional information via email for the payment of the Tourist Tax, including:

  • name,

  • date of birth,

  • address,

  • ID card number.

This data is uploaded exclusively to the web client of MBN Tourismusmanagement GmbH for the purpose of paying the tax. We do not store or share this data otherwise.

4. Cookies

The website uses basic technical cookies necessary for its operation and to improve user experience. These cookies do not collect personally identifiable information and do not include third-party (e.g., advertising) cookies.

5. Legal basis under GDPR

The legal basis for processing personal data is Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR):

  • performance of a contract (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)),

  • and compliance with legal obligations (payment of the Tourist Tax).

We retain personal data only as long as necessary to manage the booking, process the Tourist Tax, and fulfill our accounting obligations.

Personal data is processed and stored exclusively within the European Union. We do not transfer data to third countries (outside the EU).

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction, including SSL encryption and access restrictions.
