General Terms and Conditions (GTC)
Effective: From the date of booking
1. Definitions
Host: the owner of the apartment at Patergassen 24 or their authorized representative managing the apartment rental. Contracting party.
Guest / Client: the person intending to rent the apartment for a short-term stay. Contracting party.
Form, booking form: the dialog box of the booking plugin developed by wpdevart, through which the client can specify the details of the booking.
Time zone: all times specified (hour:minute) refer to Central European Time (CET/CEST).
Email: the contact email address for Haus Schäffer: hausschaffer24@gmail.com – all inquiries should be directed to this address.
GTC: this document.
2. Booking process
Guests can select available dates (marked green) using the calendar and booking form on the website’s Booking page.
Data provided in the form is processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
By clicking the Book Now button, the client accepts the GTC and agrees to transfer the deposit (20% of the total daily fee) in the specified currency to the account number provided in the email within two days (by 23:59 on the second day, or by 23:59 on the next business day if the period includes a weekend).
The host undertakes to confirm the booking within two business days upon receipt of the deposit, sending a confirmation email to the address specified in the booking form.
3. Cancellation and modifications
The client has the right to cancel the booking at least 14 days before the Arrival day (by 23:59 on the same day two weeks prior) free of charge. In this case, the host will cancel the booking and refund the full deposit to the client’s designated bank account.
If cancellation occurs within the 14-day period before arrival, the host is not obliged to refund the deposit.
The client has the right to transfer the booking to another person, or modify booking details (number of adults/children, requested linen, currency of payment), if such intent is communicated at least three days before the Arrival day (by 23:59).
If modifications result in a price change, the host will inform the client by email.
4. Pre-arrival information
The host will provide the guest with the following details at least three days before the Arrival day via email:
the apartment house rules,
the key safe code,
other important check-in information.
By accepting the house rules, the guest agrees to comply with them.
5. Guest obligations
The guest agrees to comply with the house rules, not cause damage in the apartment, and to compensate for any damage caused.
On the Arrival day, the apartment can be occupied from 15:00 at the earliest.
There are no cameras or other surveillance devices in the apartment, and the host will not remotely control the heating during the guest’s stay.
The guest agrees to send accurate data required for the Tourist Tax (IFA) for all occupants.
The guest agrees to pay the remaining balance of the apartment fee by 10:00 on the Departure day at the latest. The amount and the beneficiary’s account details will be communicated via email.
The guest agrees to vacate the apartment by 10:00 on the Departure day, and return all keys to the key safe.
6. Limitation of liability
The host is not liable for damages caused by the guest or third parties, nor for incidents occurring outside the apartment.
7. Force majeure
The host and the guest are released from their obligations if the performance is prevented by unforeseeable events beyond their control (e.g., natural disasters).
8. Data protection
Personal data provided during booking is processed in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
9. Governing law and dispute resolution
These GTC are governed by the laws of the Republic of Austria. The parties will endeavor to resolve disputes amicably in the first instance.
10. Amendments to the GTC
The host reserves the right to amend the General Terms and Conditions. The version of the GTC effective on the date of booking shall apply to each booking.
